McLaren keeps a low profile: 'More reserved'

McLaren has made great strides in recent years. Whereas last season it had to cede the third spot in the constructors' championship to Ferrari, in 2022 it hopes to be competing for the world title.

The new regulations are expected to bring the teams closer together, which should increase the tension in the world championship. It means good news for McLaren, who should have everything it needs this calendar year to compete with Mercedes and Red Bull Racing.

"McLaren have been more reserved about their winter gains, but that shouldn’t detract from their potential," reads the analysis on the official website of Formula 1. "The ingredients are therefore in abundance down at the McLaren Technology Centre. Now it’s time for them to deliver."

McLaren has everything in the house

With Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris, the team has two drivers who should be able to fight with the big teams in 2022. While Norris brings a lot of talent with him, Ricciardo has the experience of running at front of the grid, during his time at Red Bull in the past. The drivers finished sixth and eighth respectively last season.
