Although Max Verstappen and George Russell were victorious in today's qualifying battle at Spa-Francorchamps, the heavy crash of Lando Norris in Q3 is also receiving the attention it needs. After it was already determined that the driver has no serious injuries and will be able to participate in tomorrow's race, it seems that the driver is already smiling again, as reported on Twitter by Will Buxton.

"I just spoke with Lando. A bit bashed about but smiling and laughing," Buxton began in an update on his Twitter account. "He can't wait to get in and race."

"Naturally gutted as the car had felt amazing," Buxton continued. Given the condition of the McLaren car, it is uncertain whether Norris will start from the grid or pit lane. This doesn't bother the driver though, Buxton knows. "Excited to see what he can do from wherever he starts."

From the ambulance

Norris also managed to follow the end of Q3 via his phone from the ambulance. Buxton: "He watched the end of quali in the ambulance and is delighted for George [Russell]."

Norris has also shared an update on his condition via Instagram. In it, the driver notes that he's feeling "bruised, but recovering and well. Ready for the race tomorrow!"
