The Canadian Grand Prix could be a wet weekend, as there is a higher possibility of rain than during the previous weekends. McLaren driver Lando Norris shared his thoughts on a possible rainy event in Canada.
"The last few weeks have been good in both conditions, so I don't really mind which one. I think we have strengths and weaknesses in both conditions," Norris told GPblog and others in Montreal about his preference.
However, the Brit pointed out one weakness his team, McLaren, would still have if there isn't any rain this weekend. "So we know we still don't have the best DRS and there's some fairly long straights here with DRS. We know we're already going to lose a little bit of lap time compared to Ferrari and to Red Bull, compared to what we need and what we should have as a top team. But that's still stuff we're working on and we're trying to make updates." Of course, in the rain, the drivers can't use DRS.
"I think it's just a fun circuit. They obviously changed the surface and the tarmac and things like that. So I expect that to probably have a fairly big difference at the same time," Norris also commented on the new aspect teams would have to explore this weekend which is the resurfaced track.
