Sergio Perez has highlighted the area which is troubling Red Bull in Singapore. The Red Bull drivers were unable to trouble the top of the timesheets on Friday. That feat went to Ferrari, which surprised Perez.
Perez finished nearly seven-tenths behind Carlos Sainz's fastest FP2 time, with Verstappen slightly further behind. The Mexican detailed exactly where the Red Bull car is struggling in practice.
"I think there is some interesting bits going on that we need to figure out overnight. We seem to be struggling quite a bit with the rear end of the car, especially in FP2, so plenty of things to look at. Hopefully, we can come up with the best possible setup because we know that qualifying is very, very important," Perez said after the session.
The Marina Bay Street Circuit characteristics don't exactly match up with the strengths of the RB19. The Red Bull team have managed to adapt the car at similar circuits, such as Monaco, but they weren't expecting to see Ferrari at the top of the timesheets.
"We didn't expect the Ferrari to be very strong around here. We're just too far away, so hopefully, tomorrow we are able to close the gap a bit more. I do expect quite a challenge," Perez concluded.
