Both Max Verstappen and Sebastian Vettel have four consecutive world championship titles. They have also won all four of those titles with Red Bull Racing. However, there was a point when both drivers were on the grid battling against each other after Vettel left Red Bull and after Verstappen was promoted from Toro Rosso. In a recent post, Red Bull Racing remembers one of those moments.
Red Bull Racing took to its social media account on platform X to shine a light on the last time they raced in Australia for the first race of the season. The 2025 Formula 1 season is set to start on 16th March 2025 at Albert Park for the Australian Grand Prix.
'Last time we began an #F1 season Down Under'
The video shows multiple angles of Verstappen completing an overtake. The overtake was performed vs Vettel, who was driving for Ferrari at the time. Verstappen managed to land on the third step of the podium, gaining 15 points in the first race of the season. Vettel placed fourth. The gap between the two was an astounding 34.589 seconds. At this point in Verstappen's career, he had placed fourth in the championship standings the year before.
