Qualifying for the Brazilian Grand Prix fell to Max Verstappen. Where both AlphaTauris were out in Q1, the Red Bull Racing driver was the fastest. Charles Leclerc will complete the front row on the grid during Sunday's race in Sao Paolo. Lance Stroll may start from third place.
In Q1, Verstappen and Perez did not record great times at all. Halfway through the session, names like Lance Stroll and Oscar Piastri were faster than the drivers of the Austrian racing stable. Alexander Albon's time was removed because of 'track limits', so the Thai-British driver got no further than 15th place.
In Q3, the Aston Martins was the surprise of qualifying. The drivers only got one chance to set their times. Drivers at the bottom of Q3 included Lando Norris, Piastri and Carlos Sainz.
