During the first free practice at Monza, next Friday September 4th, Roy Nissany will once again take a seat in George Russell's Williams. Nissany previously participated in the first free practice in Barcelona.
The Israeli driver is this season's official test driver for Williams and will be in action for the second time this weekend. "After a great session in Barcelona I am very excited to get back behind the wheel at Monza. It's a historic track and one of my favourites".
The experience he gained in Spain will certainly help him in Italy. "I will feel better from the moment I get in the car. Of course we will be preparing for the simulator this week, but I can't wait to drive out of the pits on Friday."
Why is George always the one having to give up his car and not Latifi? Is it because Latifi is a ‘paid driver’ and his father has paid good money for him to be in the seat? Or perhaps Williams knows Latifi is their longer term driver and George will be out of there by 2022, into a a Mercedes car? Maybe Latifi needs all the track time possible in free practise while George is capable enough to miss a session and still be up to speed for qualifying?
