After a fantastic qualifying session,
Max Verstappen will start from pole position for the second time in a row at 15:00. The
French Grand Prix promises to be another duel between the Dutchman and
Lewis Hamilton, who will continue their battle for the championship in Austria this afternoon.
So
Max Verstappen will start from pole position, with Lewis Hamilton next to him. Both gentlemen will start on mediums.
Valtteri Bottas should have been on P2, but he got three places penalty due to a pit lane spin in VT2. Besides Lewis Hamilton
Lando Norris and
Sergio Perez benefit from this. Bottas will start on P5. Norris thus finds himself between the Red Bull and Mercedes cars at the start of the race.
Behind him, the name of
George Russell, who will start from P11, stands out. Yuki Tsunoda had a good qualifying but was given a three-place penalty afterwards for holding up Bottas during qualifying. Behind Tsunoda,
Carlos Sainz and
Daniel Ricciardo, who disappointed on Saturday, will start from P12 and P13. They will try to catch up from behind.
