Max Verstappen is making fun of his former title rival Lewis Hamilton. The Brit would like to co-bid on the soccer club Chelsea and Verstappen finds that strange since Hamilton is an Arsenal fan.
Hamilton, along with tennis star Serena Williams, wants to bid twenty million along with Martin Broughton's bid to buy Chelsea. The club has been without an owner since Russian oligarch Abramovich stepped down. The two athletes want to participate in the bid to have a say on the board and improve diversity within the club.
Verstappen seems particularly surprised that his rival is investing in a club he is not a fan of. The Independent quotes the Dutchman provoking Hamilton: "I am a PSV fan and I would never buy Ajax. If I were to buy a soccer club at all, I would want to be the full owner and make the decisions myself, not just for a small percentage." Verstappen continues in the hope of further baiting Hamilton: "I thought he was an Arsenal fan. As an Arsenal fan going for Chelsea, I think it's quite an interesting choice. In the end, everyone decides on their own money. I'm curious to see what comes of it."
Goes and puts his 2 cents worth into anything anything hamilton related. Lol
Quick fact, unless you're super rich, don't invest in sports. You'll just end up in heartaches and even worse stomach aches!
Come on guys, Max just answered a question he was asked in a humorous way. And Lewis is only making an investment of his money. I think if he has the chance and he wants to invest in a Premier League football team, it'd be silly to say "oh no I'm a fan of a rival team so I won't invest in this one".
But that's exactly what Max just said. Stop second guessing and making excuses for his arrogance, immaturity and zero business sense.
Would you like me to point out where you can obtain an eviction note for Max, seeing that he’s living in your head rent-free?
If this happens Chelsea will end up on the bottom of the log...........
Roman Abramovich might be having second thoughts about selling Chelsea. According to the UK government rules, Abramovich may not profit from the sale. What's his motivation for settling then?
Whereas I can see you are just the sublime archetype of maturity…
Arsenal isnt up for sale Chelsea is. Simple as that. This is business a opportunity.
As an Arsenal fan myself, I wish it was. Lewis would probably do a much better job owning it than the current owners ??
Typically ignorant reaction from an ignorant, and undeserving, wdc.
For a more complete picture...I would be keen to know the question he was answering....not sure why he should have an opinion on how lewis spends his dough....that's personal...off limits surely
