In recent years, Sebastian Vettel became increasingly interested in environmental issues. Last year at Silverstone, he drove laps in the retro racer with its eco-friendly fuel, and now he is returning to Formula 1 as a retiree.

"Motorsport is my passion. It is important for me to show that we can drive just as well and fast with synthetic, i.e. CO2-neutral fuel. And we can already do that today. Synthetic fuels offer a solution to have fun responsibly. Many people just don't know that yet," the German driver said in an interview with BILD.

In July, the four-time world champion will drive several historic Formula 1 cars at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (13 - 16 July), including Nigel Mansell's 1992 FW14B. This car is powered by CO2-neutral fuel.
