Formula 1 is set to host an official exhibition for the first time. The sport announced this on Tuesday on its official website. The exhibition will take place in Madrid from 24 March 2023.
The exhibition will consist of six specially designed spaces in the IFEMA exhibition hall in Madrid. The spaces will feature objects from Formula 1's history, stories to read from the sport's significant teams and drivers, and large-scale interactive displays that can give fans more insight into what is going on in Formula 1. Exclusive audio and film material will also be present, and there will be special displays focusing on the technical side of the sport. Of course, iconic cars from Formula 1's history will also be on display.
It has taken five years to set up the exhibition. In the press release, Formula One CEO Stefano Domenicali says of the exhibition: "The opening of this spectacular exhibition marks a significant moment in the history of Formula 1. As the sport continues to grow at an exponential rate, it’s vital that our fanbase remains at the forefront of everything we do. Launching this world-class international exhibition allows more fans around the world to fall in love with F1, while providing the perfect platform for us to honour the sport’s incredible history."
The exhibition will run until 16 July 2023. Tickets cost €20 each and sales will start on 1 December.
