Charles Leclerc ended the second free practice session for the
Las Vegas Grand Prix as fastest. The Monegasque was half a second faster than his teammate
Carlos Sainz on P2.
Max Verstappen had to settle for P6.
In an hour-and-a-half session,
Ferrari came out strong. Leclerc was the fastest, over half a second ahead of his teammate. Behind him, Fernando Alonso took place, continuing the good line from Brazil.
Sergio Perez finished one session ahead of his teammate on P4.
A surprising name in the top-5 was that of
Valtteri Bottas. This meant the Finn was even faster than Max Verstappen. Mercedes and
McLaren had a lesser day.
Lewis Hamilton finished just inside the top 10. The other drivers of the two top teams were not in the top 10 at the end of the session.
