Helmut Marko has congratulated
Mick Schumacher in Bahrain for winning his
Formula 2 title. According to the
Red Bull Racing advisor, it is very clever what the young German has shown in 2020.
"He has managed to do an enormous job with the great pressure of his last name," Marko told
Sport1. The 77-year-old Austrian thinks it is great that Schumacher has remained so calm and that he has continued to perform at a high level.
Tsunoda just falls short
In
Formula 2, Marko himself had a Red Bull protégé in the name of Yuki Tsunoda this season. The Japanese had a great chance to win the championship for a long time, but two zero scores in Mugello ultimately ended his chances. In the end he fell 15 points short of Schumacher junior.
Both Schumacher and Tsunoda appear to be admired by
Formula 1 teams for a driver in 2021. The champion Schumacher already signed a contract with
Haas F1, while at AlphaTauri a spot appears to be available for Tsunoda with the imminent departure of
Daniil Kvyat.
