Lando Norris struggled to move up the order after clashing with Alex Albon early on in the sprint race, something which he was a little admaent affected him from matching the pace of those in front of him.

Norris on the Albon incident

Norris claimed in an interview with Sky Sports that his incident with Albon at the beginning of the race "Did have quite a bit (of effect on his race), especially because as the race goes on everyone's tyres just deg a lot. So I was pushing hard from the beginning. It's when you have your best opportunities". The Brit was frustrated with his friend's way of defending him as he continued "I just have to use the tire a lot to try and get past ... when he pushed me off, then I still have to try and get past him for another couple laps and use the tyres even more"

Looking ahead to the race tomorrow, Lando could potentially still move up two more positions from his P11 as the "Alfa is going back to the grid tomorrow" in Norris's own words, before being made aware of Mick Schumacher possibly facing a penalty for a start infringement. In which he jocking said "oh no, oh no", before seriously taking a look ahead to tomorrow "I think the pace is decent, it's just not like we have a lot more past than the guys ahead of us and it's also proving to not be that easy to overtake especially when you're racing cars with similar pace" the Brit said reservedly before continuing "When you're half a tenth quicker or even a tenth quicker or slower, it makes your life almost impossible to overtake. So we'll see there are other things to do with strategy and hopefully, we can optimise our gains"
