Lando Norris has been very fast in the past few races with his upgraded
McLaren. The Brit managed to get on the podium in Britain and Hungary, and at Zandvoort he got to start second in the race. In Monza, it was tougher for the Briton, who crossed the finish line in eighth place. Despite that, Norris tells
Viaplay he looks back on a good race.
It has been a strange season for
McLaren. The Woking-based team was still among the worst teams in Bahrain, but after the car was upgraded, the
MCL60 was suddenly able to compete for the podium.
Norris looks back at Italy GP
However, the team was less competitive at Monza. Despite that, Norris looks back on a good weekend. "It was tough, especially behind Alex for the whole race, pretty much. The pace was strong, but just not good enough to overtake, really. I'm happy. I think we got the maximum out of today. I tried a few times into turn one, into turn three, and we got close. But we needed one tenth more, and we would have done it. But we couldn't do it today."
