Formula E qualifying is currently in full swing. However, there is also a major setback. In the free practice, Edoardo Mortara crashed. That crash has major consequences for the rest of the field.
Nyck de Vries did not come out in qualifying. This has to do with Edoardo Mortara's crash in the free practice. The Swiss drove into the guardrail at the first corner. He did not seem to brake.
He was then removed from his car and is currently undergoing scans in hospital. Mortara's car runs with a Mercedes powertrain. Therefore, it has been decided that all cars in Formula E with this powertrain will be examined.
For Nyck de Vries and teammate Stoffel Vandoorne, this means that they were not in action during qualifying. Yesterday, De Vries took his first victory of the season.
