The last Grand Prix of the season was dominated by Sebastian Vettel's farewell. The Aston Martin driver is hanging up his helmet after four Formula 1 world titles. The German took one World Championship point with a 10th place finish and was named Driver of the Day by fans worldwide. But what do GPblog readers think? Vettel had a strong race in Abu Dhabi and even briefly seemed to lay claim to sixth place, but a poorly executed one-stop dropped him back to P10. Nevertheless, not a bad performance with an Aston Martin, although teammate
Lance Stroll finished two places ahead of him at the
Yas Marina Circuit.
Verstappen untouchable
Max Verstappen, as is often the case in 2022, was lord and master. The Dutchman never got into trouble, taking his 15th win this year.
Charles Leclerc also pulled out all the stops, as taking P2 with a
Ferrari that was certainly inferior to Perez's RB18 is handsome.
Lando Norris was again 'the best of the rest' with sixth place. The other points went to
Esteban Ocon (P7) and
Daniel Ricciardo (P9). Who was your Driver of the Day in Abu Dhabi? Let us know by filling in the poll and join the discussion in the comments!
