The
Formula 1 weekend in
Zandvoort has already started. After the first free practice, it is now time for the second free practice for the
Dutch Grand Prix. This session usually shows how qualifying and race pace are related, so it will be interesting to see how
Max Verstappen and
Red Bull Racing compare to Mercedes and
Lewis Hamilton during this session. You can follow it all with this liveblog from GPblog.
F1 LIVE: Dutch Grand Prix FP2
The
Dutch Grand Prix is back on the F1 calendar for the first time in 36 years, and is part of an interesting Triple Header. After an exciting first half of the season in which
Lewis Hamilton and Verstappen fought for every meter together, the F1 circus returns directly after the summer break with an exciting Triple Header.
Verstappen and Hamilton
Verstappen won in Belgium after the race was never actually run. A week later, the Dutchman's second home race weekend is already underway, and he'll certainly want to win in front of all his own fans. For Hamilton, it will be all the more interesting to pull out all the stops here to beat the Red Bull driver at home.
The second free practice session is always considered to be the most important, as it takes place at exactly the same time as qualifying and the race. During this session, the teams will be looking for their best setup for the race and qualifying. You can often see a rough ranking for the rest of the weekend from this session.
