The second day of the
F1 winter test in Bahrain is scheduled. Day two will see most of the drivers in action, again including
Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. You can follow the second day of the test with this liveblog.
LIVEBLOG | Second day of F1 winter test in Bahrain
The first day of winter testing went very smoothly on Thursday. Of course, the 2023 cars are evolutions of last year's cars, but nobody expected that there would be so few problems. Only Aston Martin had a problem in the morning, but even that team eventually got to 100 laps. Only
McLaren drove fewer: 92.
Verstappen makes a great impression
For
Red Bull Racing, it was a successful day. Verstappen was behind the wheel all day and drove 157 laps in total. No other team drove that many laps. For Mercedes and
Williams, the drivers did come close together.
George Russell and
Lewis Hamilton together drove 152 laps and the men from Williams came to a total of 149 laps.
On Friday, the timesheet will also be looked at again. On Thursday, Verstappen also topped that, with a 1.32.837. Fernando Alonso came close but fell some three hundredths short. Don't miss anything from the second day of the winter test with the liveblog.
Testing will continue tomorrow with one final day before the
Bahrain Grand Prix weekend begins this time next week.
