The
Ferrari poison cup seems to have to be emptied completely.
Formula 1 analyst Lawrence Barretto says the team are in their worst season of the last 40 years after having to close a weekend without points for the second time this year.
Dramatic season
"The heavy rain that fell as the sun set tallying with their mood", says Barretto on the official
Formula 1 site about
Sebastian Vettel,
Charles Leclerc and
Mattia Binotto. After seven races, the season already seems to be unsuccessful for the Scuderia.
"This was a dreadful weekend, their second non-scoring weekend of the season", Barretto continues. "Yes, they avoided the ignominy of getting the boot in Q1, but they hardly did much better."
More than 200 points behind
Ferrari is currently ranked fifth among manufacturers with a total of 61 points. That is more than 200 fewer than
Mercedes put together.
"they are on course for their worst season in 40 years", concludes Barretto.
