Mercedes boss
Toto Wolff has hailed
Daniel Ricciardo as one of the best drivers on the grid today. The Red Bull driver is fresh off a brilliant victory in China and is reportedly a target for both Mercedes and Ferrari next season.
Ricciardo is F1's hottest property currently with the Australian out of contract at the end of the current season and all three of the top teams in the sport chasing his signature to secure his services next season. Wolff was the latest to praise his abilities.
"Daniel is one of the best drivers and he proved it in China once again." Wolff said.
The Red Bull man is rumoured to be in an exclusive period of negotiation with Ferrari up until June however he denied these claims saying he is still negotiating with his current employers.
"I've only had talks with Red Bull. I'm aware of other reports, but there hasn't been anything else. They're not true, at least up until now certainly not."
He did however express interest in the challenge of taking on the four-time world champion he is yet to partner with at a team in Lewis Hamilton.
"I've got a good challenge now obviously with Max and I had Seb, so I don't want to say it's just Lewis I'm looking for, but that would be a good challenge"
