Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc still have a lot to gain or lose in the last race of the year. Between Leclerc and Norris, fifth and sixth in the championship, there is only a difference of four points. Carlos Sainz also has a chance to win fifth place in the championship.

Brake test by Norris at Leclerc

During the press conference in Abu Dhabi, Norris is asked how he is going to beat Leclerc this weekend in order to finish fifth in the championship, according to Motorsport-Magazin. Norris gets the laughs with his reference to the title fight between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton and the incidents at the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix. "I'm going to do a brake test on him, it's only a ten second penalty," jokes the McLaren driver.

The two drivers are of course asked for their opinion on the collision between Verstappen and Hamilton, but the two do not want to say too much about it. "No comment", Norris is silent about the incident. Leclerc does want to say something more about it. "I think Verstappen did go a bit over the limit".

Who will be fifth in the championship?

Leclerc is positive about his chances of holding on to his fifth spot in the championship. "The last few races we were pretty strong. We just had some bad luck lately, but the pace was good." Still, Norris doesn't consider himself without a chance either. "We were pretty good here last year. That was one of our better weekends and we were only two tenths off the pole position time."
