Trophy for Verstappen
As usual, the FIA held a gala in Paris at the end of the year to honour all the world champions. It was a great day for the Netherlands because besides Verstappen becoming Formula 1 world champion, the very first Formula E world champion was also honoured: Nyck de Vries.
As usual at a gala event like this, the drivers were not seen in their sports outfits for a change, but in neat suits. Verstappen wore a black suit, white shirt and a black bow tie. He was accompanied by his girlfriend Kelly Piquet. The notable absentees were Lewis Hamilton and Toto Wolff.
