Verstappen not yet on Schumacher's level: 'He's not there yet'

Max Verstappen is not yet on the level of Michael Schumacher according to Gerhard Berger. According to the Austrian, the driver of Red Bull Racing will have to win a few more world titles to maintain this level.
Ever since he entered the sport, Verstappen has been compared to the greats of the past. His driving style is often compared to that of Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher. Verstappen also goes for every gap and fights like a lion for his position. He has now fulfilled that promise with one world title, but he is not yet at the legendary level of those other drivers.
New goals for Verstappen
At least that is what Berger states at Austria's Servus TV. ''He still has to do something more to get to that level. In terms of talent he is definitely already there, he is an excellent racer. We've already seen that in Formula 3 and I've also seen him in karting'', says the former Formula 1 driver.
Although Verstappen has joined a unique ranks with his world title, he still has some way to go to live up to that legendary status. Verstappen, described by Berger as a down-to-earth and cool guy, could, with two world titles, for example, be on a par with Fernando Alonso and Mika Hakkinen.
