Verstappen responds hilariously to Twitter hater
- GPblog.com
As a famous Formula 1 driver, Max Verstappen not only gets positive messages, but also a lot of criticism. Normally the Dutchman doesn't care, but this time he couldn't resist reacting.
Verstappen is a big fan of sim racing and therefore often participates in online events. Last weekend, the Dutchman drove in the Virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans, where he unfortunately crashed out.
The single world champion is active on the app Discord, where online communities are created to stay in touch with each other. The platform hosts several servers for virtual motorsports events.
Verstappen reaction
British driver Bradley Philpot is known on Twitter as a big fan of Lewis Hamilton, and he often criticises Verstappen. He seems to be unhappy with the Dutchman's world championship. Still, the driver thought it would be a good idea to invite Verstappen to the virtual twelve hours of the Nürburgring via Discord, but he is not getting the expected response. Philpot shared the message on his own Twitter.
Initially, Verstappen responded nicely by indicating he did not have time for the event, but he then sent a screenshot of one of Philpot's tweets criticizsing the Red Bull driver. The tweet has since been deleted, but friends of Verstappen shared the screenshots on Twitter.

First off - Happy New Year everyone. Also, remember that because of what happened at Abu Dhabi, we get to enjoy every time Max *doesn’t* win a championship that *little* bit more deeply. I am now happy whoever wins as long as it’s not Max / Horner / Red Bull #F1 #HNY2022 pic.twitter.com/bqXnzUkBoG
