McLaren and Lando Norris revealed on Wednesday that they will continue their collaboration for the next four seasons. It means that the Brit extends his contract until the end of 2025, and Andreas Seidl has revealed how happy he is with the deal.

The McLaren team boss knows better than anyone how essential it is to create clarity with the drivers. "Stability is obviously important for every team," Seidl responded in an interview with McLaren. "It is of course fantastic for the team that we are keeping Lando with us for at least another four years."

Seidl understands that this also creates expectations. Without Norris knowing how the car will perform next season, the driver hopes to fight for the world title with McLaren in the coming years. The team boss is convinced that the stable will succeed in keeping Norris happy. "I am absolutely convinced," he said.

Norris thought staying on was a logical decision

Norris said in a press release on Wednesday that it was not a difficult choice for him to remain loyal to McLaren. The driver is having a great time at the team and feels that he and the team can achieve great things in the coming seasons. Norris expects that the investments of recent years will soon pay off.
