Verstappen: 'Hope they at least keep Spa, Zandvoort and Suzuka'

Liberty Media is always looking for new circuits and in doing so are looking for new fans and more spectacle, but some drivers do not always agree with Liberty. Max Verstappen mentions his ideal calendar.
Miami is the latest addition to this year's F1 calendar and a possible race in Las Vegas is also being looked at. The American organization is busy growing the popularity of F1 as especially in America, they see growth opportunities. The organization also seems to believe that street circuits provide the most fun races. If it's up to Verstappen, there will be a nice mix of different circuits instead of just street circuits.
Verstappen's ideal F1 calendar
Talking to Viaplay the Dutchman says: "I think they should keep a bit of a mix between the new circuits and the old school circuits. Of course I hope they keep Spa and - Zandvoort can't be missed of course - Suzuka, also such a beautiful circuit. So if you keep those then that would be nicer than always going to new circuits and more street circuits." When asked, Verstappen did not want to elaborate further on the circuits that should be scrapped of him: "There are a few that I find a little less, but I'm not going to name them. That's not so neat."
Although the sports organization would prefer to have a calendar of up to 30 races a year, it does not appear that the calendar will be expanded even more intensively. With the ever-growing calendar in recent years, criticism from all employees on, of and around F1 has also increased. The workload is sometimes impossible to handle.
