Sergio Perez hopes to enter a good season with Red Bull Racing. The relationship with Max Verstappen will not be affected, because according to him he gets along very well with the Dutchman. He tells this in an interview with the Spanish Marca.
Perez has been part of the team of the Austrian racing stable since the beginning of 2021. While in the beginning Perez's performance was mostly criticized, he experienced a clear growth in the last period. At the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, for example, he started the race from pole position and finished fourth.
Perez can work well with Verstappen
Red Bull does not only want to try and win another world title for Verstappen this season, but also hopes to win the constructors' championship. For that it needs not only Verstappen but also the good form of Perez.
The Mexican driver says he gets along well with Verstappen. "With Max I have a very good relationship," Perez explains. "We are more similar than people think. Formula 1 is not everything. We have a life outside the sport and that's why we have respect for each other and a good relationship. We have a good time together, which is important for the team."
