Horner sees Verstappen fighting for second world title
- GPblog.com
Max Verstappen managed to win the world title last season after an amazing battle with Lewis Hamilton. Although the Dutchman achieved his goal of winning the world championship, Christian Horner saw no rest in Verstappen.
The reigning world champion entered Formula 1 in 2015. Over a year later, Red Bull Racing pushed him on and gave him a car with which he could fight for victories. Whereas in the first few years he mainly had to settle for a spot behind Mercedes, this was suddenly different in 2021. Verstappen battled with Hamilton until the end and won the world title in Abu Dhabi.
This season all eyes are on Verstappen. The expectations are high, but due to problems with his car he hasnt been able to achieve what he would like. It is now also clear that the Austrian racing team lacks speed compared to Ferrari.
Horner enjoys Verstappen
Horner looks with pride at the fighting spirit Verstappen brings to the track. "It’s totally undiminished," the Red Bull team boss stressed to gq magazine. "He’s gaining more experience but his desire and hunger is just what it was the first time he stepped into a car."
