Alpine open to loan agreement for Piastri

Oscar Piastri is one of the drivers that many believe deserves a seat in Formula 1, but as long as no spots are available he is forced to sit on the reserve bench. Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi, however, has come up with a possible solution.
Rossi does not want to make Piastri wait forever for an F1 seat and points out the importance of developing a talented driver like him. "He needs to be ready when the day comes, and the day will come, because he’s extremely talented," he tells Fox Sports.
Alpine wants to keep option on Piastri
The Alpine boss is therefore not negative about possibly loaning his reserve driver to a rival team, but he does not comment on whether he is in talks with other teams on the issue.
"If it’s a solution that allows me to get him back at some point, I might think about it," he continued. "For me the ideal scenario is that he wins races and championships with us," Rossi concludes.
