Red Bull Racing did good business during the Imola Grand Prix. The Austrian racing team managed to secure the first two finishing spots with Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, thereby overtaking rival Ferrari. However, Christian Horner is experienced enough to know that Red Bull is far from there.

Whereas last season the team was still fighting with Mercedes for the world title, this season Ferrari is the big rival. With Charles Leclerc, the Italians are provisionally at the top of the world championship and hope to keep this up in the coming months.

Horner expects a sharp Ferrari

Verstappen's victory, however, put everything back into a different perspective. The Dutchman won by a large margin in Italy and thus showed that he is far from beaten. Horner has confidence in the reigning world champion, but at the same time knows where Ferrari's strengths lie.

"It was important to close the gap to Ferrari. But for every pot you need the right lid," the team boss stated in an interview with Speedweek.com. "Ferrari has a great car and two very good drivers, so everything has to be right if we want to beat them. They had bad luck in Imola. I am convinced that they will hit back in Miami."
