The
Miami Grand Prix is coming up this weekend. At the front of the field it promises to be another thrilling battle between
Max Verstappen and
Charles Leclerc. It is difficult to predict which team will have the upper hand, as Andreas Haupt also knows.
As the
Formula 1 teams travel to a brand new circuit, the free practice sessions will be very important to see where each team stands. In other areas, however, the question is how the qualities of
Red Bull Racing and
Ferrari will compare. Indeed, due to updates, shifts are to be expected.
Leclerc will be looking to give something back in Miami after his disappointing home race in
Imola. The Italian stable did everything they could to beat their competitor two weeks ago, but Verstappen did not have a single moment of trouble and thus drove gloriously to victory.
Sergio Perez 's second final spot also showed Red Bull's supremacy.
Red Bull and Ferrari keep each other in balance
The journalist therefore leaves it open as to who is the favorite, although he gives Red Bull a good chance.
"Because the RB18 has been good in the corners so far and has had an excellent top speed," judges Haupt at
Auto, Motor und Sport.
"But if Ferrari's medium-low downforce package works, the Scuderia could also prevail again. Therefore: a prediction is hardly possible."
