Verstappen very happy: "Incredible Grand Prix"
- GPblog.com
Max Verstappen crossed the finish line first in Miami after victories in Saudi Arabia and Imola. The Dutchman had to start from third place, but a good start and a quick overtake on World Championship leader Charles Leclerc ensured that Verstappen could grab his third victory of the year. He himself is obviously more than satisfied with the course of the race.
Verstappen seemed to be able to head towards the finish on cruise control, but due to a safety car caused by Lando Norris and Pierre Gasly, his lead over Leclerc was wiped out. The Ferrari driver seemed to be in a better rhythm after the resumption, but in the end, Verstappen managed to keep his RB18 wide.
Verstappen enjoys it to the fullest
"It was an incredible Grand Prix very physical as well but I think we kept it exciting till the end," Verstappen said.
Verstappen has now accumulated 85 points thanks to his 26 World Championship points scored in the United States. Competitor Leclerc is currently on 104 points in the World Championship. Sergio Perez is number three with 66 points.
