Aston Martin came out at last weekend's Spanish Grand Prix with a car that looked suspiciously like the version Red Bull Racing has been found on the track with this season. Sebastian Vettel defends his team and argues that the media did not handle the situation correctly.
The British racing team is experiencing a very tough year in Formula 1 this season, so they knew they had to make some changes in Spain. During the first free practice, Aston Martin was surprised by taking to the track a car with many characteristics of the current RB18.
Vettel criticizes after media dispute
Helmut Marko, among others, reacted critically, stating that Formula 1 should investigate the current state of affairs. According to Vettel, part of the problem lies with the media. "I don't think the media reaction to our car was correct, even compared to the work done by the team," he revealed at the press conference to Formulapassion.it.
In doing so, Vettel stated that he has a lot of confidence in his current car. "I think the car has so much potential, otherwise it wouldn't have made sense to change it so much. It's a completely different direction."
