Perez responds to Red Bull's team orders in Azerbaijan GP

Sergio Perez did some very strong business during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Partly due to the failure of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, he drove convincingly to a second place, which again earned him many points for his team.
The Mexican had a good start from second place and managed to get past Leclerc, putting him at the front of the driver field. After Sainz dropped out and Leclerc's tyre change, he had Verstappen behind him and passed his teammate. He then managed to hold on to second place and secured the fastest race lap.
"Unfortunately, we missed the VSC stop. There was some miscommunication and when we wanted it, it was a bit too late. We were a bit unlucky there because that would have made our race when we were leading," Perez highlighted.
Perez points out team interest
Perez didn't find it a problem to let Verstappen pass. "I think it was the right call from the team because at that point Max was further ahead and it is a good tam result and you know here anything can happen. In the end its a 1-2 and a good team result," he added.
