Mercedes drove a strong weekend in Canada. Red Bull Racing team boss Christian Horner sees the team coming more and more to life and is factoring in the 2021 rival for next race at Silverstone. Horner also expects fierce resistance from Ferrari.
Red Bull expects upgrades at Ferrari
Ferrari team boss Mattia Binotto did not yet release anything about upgrades to his team, but did say that he expected a big upgrade package from Red Bull Racing. At Sky Sports, Horner says exactly the same thing about his rival: "I've heard that there will probably be some upgrades for Ferrari at Silverstone. So that will be interesting." The battle between Ferrari and Red Bull continues unabated, but Mercedes may also finally seem to be hooking up.
Horner takes into account advancing Mercedes
Lewis Hamilton grabbed his second podium of the season and also after several races once again beat his teammate George Russell who finished five seconds later in P4. This is a strong result for Mercedes this year and it did not go unnoticed by Horner either. The Brit explains, "The pace of Mercedes at the end of the race was very strong. I think they can be a factor to be reckoned with at Silverstone."
