Guanyu Zhou has escaped without injury after his heavy crash at the British Grand Prix. The driver was taken to the medical centre but has been declared fit.
Alfa Romeo has told GPBlog and others that Guanyu Zhou has been declared fit and released from the circuit's medical centre. The driver was kept there for a long time to monitor his situation.
At the start of the race, things immediately went wrong. Pierre Gasly hit the car of George Russell, causing the Briton to overturn the Alfa Romeo of Zhou. Zhou flew upside down over the tyre pile. A red flag was waved immediately.
