After the sprint race on Saturday, the Austrian Grand Prix promises to be an exciting race. Tyre management will play an important role in the outcome of the race. Can Max Verstappen convert his pole position into victory?

Verstappen dominated Ferrari at the high-speed Spielberg circuit in Friday's qualifying and Saturday's sprint race. The Dutchman took pole position and had a good start in the sprint race. Verstappen takes home eight points with his victory, but he will try to go for the maximum on Sunday.

Ferrari want to beat Verstappen

At Ferrari, Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc battled it out, but in the end the Monegasque was slightly stronger. The battle between the Ferrari drivers gave Verstappen the space to make a small gap to the rest of the field. In the main race, the Italians will do everything they can to get past Verstappen this time.

Sergio Perez returned from P13 to fifth on the grid. Starting from the third row of the grid, the Mexican can try to battle it out with the Ferrari drivers. George Russell will also hope to try something from fourth position. The Haas team is also in good shape with seventh and ninth positions. Lewis Hamilton will be hoping to make up some ground from P8, after getting stuck behind Mick Schumacher and Kevin Magnussen in the sprint race.
