Schumacher learned a lot from battle with Verstappen

After almost a season and a half without a point, Mick Schumacher now has twelve points in the last two races. According to team principal Guenther Steiner, the good result in Austria on Sunday was partly due to the battle Schumi had with Max Verstappen at Silverstone.
In his 32nd Grand Prix, Schumacher finally hit the mark. Michael Schumacher's son crossed the Silverstone finish line in eighth place, scoring his first four points. A week later, he was back in the points again. After a beautiful race in which he passed Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso on the track, Schumacher finished in sixth position and could add eight points to his total.
A little help from Verstappen
"Those were definitely good manoeuvres. He has learned a lot from the battle with Max Verstappen at Silverstone and has already implemented this," Steiner said in conversation with Sport1.de. The Haas F1 team boss saw both good attacking and defensive actions from Schumacher.
Steiner is delighted with his pupil's results. "Maybe he wanted to force it earlier and now the pieces of the puzzle are falling into place. Anyway, Mick is doing well at the moment," says the Italian. The good result also meant Schumacher was voted 'Driver of the Day' by the fans in Austria.
