Leclerc's stolen watch 'found' by Italian police

Charles Leclerc's very expensive watch that was stolen by alleged fans in Viareggio, Italy, seems to have surfaced again. At least the police suspect where the watch is. The thieves sold it for a pittance of the price.
Richard Mille soon to be back at Leclerc?
The watch that would cost around two million euros has been found by the Neapolitan police. That is what the Italian newspaper Il Mattino reports. They believe that the watch is currently in the possession of a Spanish entrepreneur. This entrepreneur would have paid only 200,000 euros for it. A paltry sum, since the value of the Richard Mille clock would be around two million.
The newspaper reports that the three thieves initially wanted to sell the clock for one million. That turned out to be impossible, because it was clearly a stolen version. The Swiss manufacturer made very few of these watches and Leclerc's watch was a gift with a special signature of the driver on it. There are only a few other watches that also have a signature of the rightful owner. Whether the Spaniard is already in contact with the police is not yet clear.
Police follows Leclerc watch
It is not clear from the message whether the thieves have already been caught, but the local police have a reasonable idea of what happened. The three thieves are said to have searched for months for a possible buyer, each time dropping the price further. Although the final sale price was only a fifth of the price they wanted and even a tenth of the estimated value, 200,000 is still a hefty sum for a simple theft. The report also states that the thieves celebrated with a sumptuous lunch immediately after the theft.
