One team blocks Hamilton's diversity plan: 'F1 needs to do more'

Lewis Hamilton thinks Formula 1 as a whole needs to do more for equality in the sport. The We Race As One was more words than actual change, in his opinion, and there is also one team before its diversity deal.
Hamilton wants F1 to do more
In addition to being an F1 driver and figurehead of the sport, Hamilton has increasingly become a man who speaks out about global issues. The Mercedes driver is a champion of equality and diversity in the sport. He works hard for this, but stated at the press conference that F1 as a whole needs to do more to bring about real change.
''I'm doing the most I can. I don't know what else I can do,'' Hamilton said ahead of the French GP. ''Formula 1 continuously needs to do more, all the teams need to do more. I think we are very close to getting this diversity inclusion charter going and I think it's still one team – still the same team – is not willing to engage but I'm grateful to see the other teams are willing to step forward and do the work.''
Which F1 team is blocking the diversity plan?
When Hamilton is asked which team that is, however, he keeps his jaw shut. ''I don't think it'd be appropriate to name the team. We've gone back and forth to them and for some reason they don't want to but all the other nine teams have which is really encouraging.'' However, Hamilton stresses that it is not just down to the teams, but Formula 1 as a whole.
''I think Formula 1 100% should continue to do more. In the previous years we had the whole We Race As One thing, but that really was just a lip service that we're not… we need to do more,'' the British driver concludes.
