Sergio Perez does not appear to be as comfortable in the RB18 as he was at the start of the season. The Mexican has finished far behind team-mate Max Verstappen in recent races, but he hopes to come back stronger after the summer break.

Perez crossed the finish line for the Hungarian Grand Prix in fifth place, fifteen seconds behind his teammate. The Mexican has had a tougher time in the Red Bull car in recent races and is being beaten by Verstappen. Helmut Marko has made several comments about Perez's pace.

In Hungary, the Red Bull driver felt a lot better. Perez, therefore, hopes that he can achieve better results after the four-week summer break. "There certainly was a lot of pace, especially in these conditions, we managed more pace out of it. It was certainly a good race for us," Perez began to Sky Sports.

'We are making good progress'

"I was certainly more comfortable in this race. We are making good progress, especially in this race. Yesterday in qualifying we understood what we did, so hopefully when we come back after the summer break, we are in a position to be a lot stronger," continued the Mexican. "I think that will be critical for us to make sure we deliver," said the Red Bull driver.
