Leclerc: 'Don't know if we are quick enough to overtake on the track'

Charles Leclerc fell just short of pole for the Dutch Grand Prix, but differences are minimal. The Ferrari driver believes he might have set the fastest time if he had not made a costly mistake in his final run, but hopes to make up for it in Sunday's race.
Leclerc hopes to win with strategy
"As a driver, you always target pole but Max just put it together today," Leclerc said in a press release from Ferrari. "I'm confident for tomorrow, though it's a track on which it is rather difficult to overtake, so I hope it will be as close as today and that we can have a good battle with Max."
Speaking to Viaplay, the Ferrari driver explained that he made a mistake during his fast lap. "In turn ten I made a mistake and I lost quite a bit there unfortunately, but it's part of the game," Leclerc admits. "When you push at the limit, sometimes you do mistakes. At the end the third sector was really good, I tried to recover but it wasn't enough for pole."
On Sunday, Leclerc hopes to take a strategic advantage of Ferrari's strong starting position, which sees Leclerc start on P2 and Carlos Sainz on P3. "I'm not sure we are quick enough to make an overtake stick on track with the same tyre age, but with the strategy definitely yes, so we'll try to put them under pressure with strategy," said Leclerc.
