The Singapore Grand Prix is scheduled for this weekend and it could just be a spectacular edition. Weather.com is predicting rain and thunderstorms for the race weekend.
Formula 1 is gearing up for the final six races of the 2022 Formula 1 season, starting in Singapore. The Asian country hosts a fine evening race at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, and usually this is a race that is exciting until the last lap. However, rain could provide an extra factor of interest.
According to Weather.com, there will be a lot of rain during the Grand Prix weekend. On Friday, morning thunderstorms are forecast and there is a 49 per cent chance of rain. The fact that it is 31 degrees at the time does ensure that wet track may also dry up quickly. However, the weather eases over the weekend.
On Saturday, it remains 31 degrees, but heavier rain and thunderstorms are then forecast for the entire day. There is a whopping 69 per cent chance of rain. On Sunday, the same weather persists. The temperature drops to 30 degrees and the chance of rain also slightly to 60 per cent, but thunderstorms will linger over the circuit all weekend.
Lance Stroll actually does well in the wet. So he may make it into Q2.
A wet race in Singapore would likely mean more than one SC.
Lucky enough to be there for this one. Sect 10 Pit Grandstand. Hoping the weather is kind.
Lucky you! Singapore is wonderful. Recently been there and the weather forecast is completely useless to be honest. There is no way to predict the weather perfectly there, especially not so many days in advance. It can rain in north Singapore where the south part still has sun or vica versa. Enjoy :)
Who out qualified Hami in a Mercedes when it was wet driving a Wiliams?
WET races are unpredictable bro. He could crash. Someone (Latifi cough cough) could crash into him. Ferrari might wake up because of the RAIN falling in their heads and make a good strategy for once. When it RAINS in formula 1, predict the unpredictable!
