Daniel Ricciardo is in his last four Formula 1 races before leaving the motorsport class. Although the Australian is still reeling from the situation, the driver wants to give his all at the end of the season to be of service to McLaren one more time. He tells in the McLaren preview.
McLaren is still mainly focused on the constructors' championship. In it, the British formation is in fifth place with 130 points gained, but can see Alpine close behind. The rival has 13 more points, so it seems possible for McLaren to clinch fourth position.
Ricciardo, who will not be back in Formula 1 in 2023, is ready to do battle with Alpine. The teammate of Lando Norris reveals that the United States Grand Prix is one of his favourite races of the year, which makes him eager to start the weekend.
"I can't wait to get on track," he says. "I’m looking forward to the last four races of the season and trying everything to maximise the results to keep us in the fight for fourth in the championship."
Norris hopes for new success in Austin
Norris is also looking forward to the start of the race weekend: "The track is a fun one, with some cool features similar to tracks such as Suzuka so I’m looking forward to getting out there and seeing how the new regulation cars run. I’ve had a points finish both times I’ve raced there so hopefully we can keep up the streak."
