Ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix, Lando Norris has spoken out about Max Verstappen and what he can do with the RB21. According to him, the RB21 and MCL39 are similar in how hard they are to drive. Norris was also asked about Yuki Tsunoda and whether he was now a contender for the championship.

"I have no idea," Norris responded to the question of whether Tsunoda can be considered a serious contender for the top three. "Time will tell."

Regarding the RB21, Norris said, "It looks tricky, just as much as we've said our car is tricky to drive. We have two drivers who can get a lot out of the car. "

He continued, "That seems the same with Red Bull. It's tricky to get a nice balance that suits a lot of drivers. Or suits any driver except maybe Max or Daniel [Ricciardo] many years ago."

Verstappen has a particular driving style that allows him to withstand a sensitive car. Other Red Bull drivers have struggled to adapt to the car and have found themselves falling behind their teammate.

Norris admits he has "No idea what's going on [at Red Bull], but the strength [McLaren] have at the minute is two good drivers and a strong team".
