Verstappen stands firm: no interview with Sky Sports in Mexico
- GPblog.com
Max Verstappen has decided not to give an interview to Sky Sports during the Mexican Grand Prix, reports De Telegraaf. It is reportedly about statements Ted Kravitz made in the United States last week when he managed to win at the expense of Lewis Hamilton.
The pit reporter of the English medium spoke disparagingly about his victory in America, according to Verstappen. Kravitz revealed afterwards that it promised to be a great battle between Verstappen and Hamilton, but the Dutchman logically won because of his faster car.
"After all, the guy who beat him in 2021, after the seven-time champion was robbed, managed to overtake him because he had a faster car," he stated. In doing so, Kravitz also pointed to Adrian Newey, who he said had done most of the work.
Verstappen continues to perform in GP Mexico
Since then, Verstappen has decided not to speak to the medium at least this weekend, making a statement. It does not seem to distract him from his performance for now, as Verstappen will start Sunday's race in Mexico from the pole position.
