Ocon critical: 'I didn't say that at all'

Last Friday, the fifth season of Drive to Survive was released on Netflix. While many F1 fans feast on this series, there are plenty of drivers who are not really happy with it. For instance, according to them, words are regularly twisted.
In this case, Esteban Ocon, in an interview with formel1.de has spoken out against the series, saying something is in fact twisted in the episodes around his quotes over board radio.
For example, according to Netflix, he allegedly said that it 'feels like a victory' to take eighth place during his home race. "I didn't say that at all. I think I said that after a fifth-place finish in Austria or fourth-place in Japan. But not after an eighth-place finish in France."
Ocon is not the first driver to speak out about the series. Lando Norris and Max Verstappen also did so. In fact, this is the first season in ages that Max Verstappen did join the series, as he previously accused Netflix of twisting words and actions. Lando Norris spoke out against claims made by the editors of Drive to Survive. For instance, the makers of the series allegedly hinted at a feud between former McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo and him, when this was not the case.
However, the French Alpine driver did nuance his statements, as the French driver admitted that he himself does enjoy the series after all, "It's fantastic!"
