Possible loss of downforce for Red Bull: 'Floor too close to the ground'
- GPblog.com
According to Auto Motor und Sport, rumours are circulating on the Bahrain paddock that Red Bull Racing's RB19 is too close to the ground. If this is the case and needs to be adjusted, it could result in a downforce loss for Max Verstappen's team.
Problems at Red Bull Racing?
Red Bull might need to lift the car slightly as the floorboard is currently hitting the tarmac too often, causing damage. If that is the case, the RB19 will have to sacrifice some under-floor suction. Downforce will then be reduced and, as a result, Red Bull could lose performance.
Red Bull are currently the favourites and, based on what has been seen during the winter tests, seems especially strong in the fast corners. A real ranking can only be discovered after the first weekend, but Red Bull might lose some performance early on.
