Lando Norris had a fine Sunday. The good-humoured Briton finished fourth after a very handsome race. His voice could be heard frequently during the race, as the McLaren driver kept a close eye on his colleagues regarding the track limits.

The FIA announced after the Grand Prix that it had recorded as many as 1,000 cases of possible track limits violations, all of which had to be checked. Lando Norris kept his McLaren judged between the white lines throughout the races, although that is not at all easy, he says himself. "People on the outside, like they complain, but they don't understand how difficult it is to stay within the track limits," he takes issue with his colleagues. According to the youngster, it is unfair to point the finger at others. "You can say I did and why can't everyone else do it, but it depends what position you're in. If Fernando was behind me the last 5-10 laps, I can assure you I would have done track limits."

Norris to TV?

Should racing ever start boring Norris, he may be able to work as a race commentator. Sky Sports and F1TV may start watching the talent. "I was doing live commentary every single corner pretty much," Norris laughed, referring to his comments to race officials. The one-time polesitter saw compatriot Lewis Hamilton regularly exceed the track limits and wanted race control to look into it:"He only got a five second penalty. Yeah. Maybe I should have commentated more! It should have been way more. He did about four strikes in one lap."
